The days of DR PvP Glory have begun to fade over the past year, but many members are looking to get back to the basics of PvP and rehabilitate the Villain community on Champions. Neo, the absentee leader, may have let PvP slip from DR's priorities, but with old players returning and PvP focused members like "Ultima" the group is beggining to show some great hope for running Champions PvP style like their past glory days. Lets see what happens in their recruiting efforts and see if they can return the Villain Community to a respectable force and if other groups will follow the example.

Double XP Returns!

Villains, prepare to plot your take over of the world in double time! Heroes, clean the streets of scum twice as fast! The ever popular Double XP weekend returns! Starting on Friday, February 8th following our weekly maintenance period, all defeat rewards, including experience, prestige and influence or infamy will be doubled! This will continue through the weekend and conclude the night of Sunday, February 10th!

The Devs have a pretty exciting maintenance period tomorrow. As they’ve announced previously, they have a 6 hour server maintenance period scheduled for Thursday, January 24th starting at 6 AM Pacific (9AM Eastern). The maintenance being performed is being done on our West Coast Servers, however there will be service impacts of other related game services because of this.

Servers affected: Champion, Guardian, Justice, Protector, Virtue

While the above list of servers will be offline, there will also be interruptions to global services, including:

Respecs - Past and Present by Lead Designer, Matt "Positron" Miller

One of the things that players have constantly been asking for has always been a way to earn unlimited Respecs for their characters. When we first introduced the concept of Respecs (Respecializing your character), it was in the form of a not-too-easy Trial that forced you and your team to use some pretty sound tactics to beat a difficult Task Force. This Trial could be repeated two more times by the time you reached level 50, so your character could Respec three times in the course of their career.
